ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT ON THE LIFE OF OUR BELOVED KING HASSAN I !!!
Woman in Black with a Cowardly Knife Attack!
Security Forces Mobilized.
King Wounded in Shoulder but Wound is Minor
Princess Livia Wounds the Cowardly Assassin with Four Arrows
Preparations for the Formation of the Royal Guard Accelerated
What began as another lovely day in the peaceful Kingdom of Kalahari almost turned into a horrible tragedy except for the quick thinking, and warrior prowess, of Princess Livia, and the courage, and presence of mind, of King Hassan.
The almost tragic event began harmlessly enough, with the visit of a woman dressed in black, who requested an audience with the King. Seren Held, servant of Princess Livia and a witness to the eventual assault, told this reporter: "I immediately felt there was something strange about this woman."
But the King, known universally as an open and accessible monarch, allowed the woman to approach him. Princess Livia, also sensing something was not quite right, quietly went to one of her hidden caches scattered around the Kingdom, where she keeps her weapons, retrieved one of her bows and some arrows, and quietly returned to the King's presence.
Eyewitnesses report what happened next:
Woman in Black: "Good King, I fear you are in danger."
King Hassan noticed her look and grasped his sword, while gallantly urging Seren to step back. At that same moment that Princess Livia notched an arrow, drew back her bowstring and.............
Woman in Black: then hissed "Hamid sends his regards. " and, with that, her hand whipped out of her dress, and her dagger went flying in the King's direction. She did not stick around to see if the dagger hit, but rolled toward the trees and took off in a zig zagging run.
But this cowardly attack would not go unpunished. This vicious would-be assassin ran like a frightened rabbit, but she could not outrun the Princess' arrows, nor blunt her unerring aim. Faster than the eye could see, the Kingdom's greatest warrior loosed four arrows, all of them hitting the target before she disappeared into the sea. No body has been found, and all Kalahari's inhabitants fervently hope the sharks have taken her.
But all are reminded to be on alert, and report to the authorities any suspicious activity by unknown persons who visit the Kingdom, especially this woman in black. And all leads, including the identity of this "Hamid," will be pursued.
And of course we all rejoice that the woman's aim was as poor as her intention: the King was only grazed on his shoulder, received some medical attention, and is perfectly fine.
This unsettling event highlights the need for the Kingdom to form the Royal Guard as quickly as possible. If such a wise and benevolent monarch as King Hassan can be attacked with such impunity, then surely we must better protect the King, and all of us, in this dangerous and unbalanced world.
