DAILY NEWS FROM MAMLAKAT KALAHARI   13 August 2015   #15

FURTHER DISPATCH RECEIVED FROM PRINCESS PRITH:
KINGDOM OF AROHIAS CONQUERED, FEASTING BEGINS!
(Scroll delivered by messenger eagle from the conquered Kingdom!)
(Princess Prith shows that after War comes Feasting!)

Princess Prith reports that, after conquering Arohias, capturing the Royal Family, and killing all who resisted, her troops deserved a triumph, so the multi-talented Warrior-Lover used the fruits of her conquest to reward her battle-hardened troops.

What would you, the observer, see and hear if you could fly over the banquet like one of the Princess' messenger eagles?

First would come the sound: the beat of drums, the singing of the enslaved women of Arohias, the laughter and boisterous shouts of the victorious soldiers, the crackle of the bonfires over which roasted meat sizzled, to be consumed by the formidable fighting men and women of Kalahari.

Is that the wailing of the wind, you think, as you draw closer? No, you realize, as your eyes focus on the elevated ground near the Princess' tent. It is the Royal Family of Arohias, naked and chained inside cages, weeping and begging as vulo bones, hot coals, and stones are idly tossed at them by the Princess' elite troops: Prith's Invincibles.

As you circle in to land near the large Throne where Prith sits, you notice a smaller throne to her left and on lower ground. It is a mock throne, made of brambles and thorns woven together to form a throne-like chair of pain. And on it, squirming and moaning through his gag, is the pretty young Prince, once the heir to the ancient throne of Arohias, now the "toyboy" of the all-conquering Prith. Nearby, his mother, and the other members of the Royal Family who survived the Princess' wrath, cry and beg, pleading for mercy but the Princess only smiles.

The subjugation of yet another Royal Prince is well underway!

KALAHARI AUTHORITIES CONDUCT AN EXPERIMENT
(Can a slave be brainwashed into believing he was never free?)

Many of the residents of the Kingdom know slave Abukir Amhr Kofiadou (slave Abu), fewer know his origins, and none, until now, know that he is the subject of a very important scientific experiment conducted by Princess Livia, and her Magician husband Minister Magdy.

A little background is in order, dear readers, so that you can fully understand the importance of this experiment. One of our slave rin  ummm i mean import-export businesses took slave Abu. He was a promising engineering student, but his jealous fellow students sold him to our colleagues after they first rendered him unconscious.

King Hassan gave him to Princess Livia who has used him as a Mine slave. He is a strong worker, but has been tormented by memories of his past, what he might have become that is now lost, and this has made him less productive than he could be. So as a humane gesture, (and of course, to make the slave more productive!) Livia and Magdy embarked on an experiment: to make the slave lose his memory. In this way, he will believe he was born a slave, and will therefore accept his slavery, and become happier and a better worker.

A desert fever picked up in the Mine began the process, and enabled Magdy to nurse the slave back to health, while administering his magic potions. Slowly the mixture has taken hold. The slave has already forgotten how to read and write, and is now being persuaded that he was born a slave, that his mother was a slave, and that she used to call him "my little Boo," which is why he has been named Abu.

While still confused, the slave is slowly losing all memory of his time as a free person. And the Kingdom is well on its way toward creating yet another scientific and humanitarian milestone.

MEDIEVAL MURMURS

sylvie Sidney was seen in the Kingdom today. the temporary Service Slave is working off her debt at the King's pleasure, and also serving as Medical assistant. Good to see you, sylvie!

The Herald's Eye Sees All: Which "power couple" was seen boarding one of their tarns and flying away to their romantic hideaway? The Herald's Eye will never tell!

And which "entertainer" plied her trade in the noble precincts, with royal success? Our mouth is sealed (but not our scrolls! ahahaha)
