Kalahari Herald Chronicles 3 August 2015 1#6

DAILY NEWS FROM MAMLAKAT KALAHARI   3 August 2015

Minister Afraa al Abid would like to announce a historic first: the serving of food at the Tavern that was produced on our own Farm. The Chronicles observer was there when Princess Livia lay a baked dwarf tarsk on one of the tavern tables and yelled with her hands thrown up in the air as if she had just done something amazing..."BAM! I cooked a tarsk!" Soon a wide variety of such dishes will be a part of the fare offered by the Tavern as part of its campaign to feature delicious local food and drink to all the inhabitants of Kalahari..

The Foreign Affairs Ministry of the Kingdom has announced that Minister Magdy Ashi will be making an important trip to further the interests of the Farm, but also to explore further his expertise in Magic. He will first visit the Kingdom of Arcanum, the fabled home of ancient and wise magicians, where he will test his skills among some of the most powerful magicians in the known world. His journey will then take him to a number of kingdoms in a far off land known as Urop. There kingdoms are rumored to have a variety of fields, and forests, and sources of water, as well as strange animals we can only imagine. Minister Magdy will make a complete report of his visit to the King when he returns.

Before his departure, Magdy's wife Princess Livia decided to honor her husband, and join the House of Ashi. So her full name now is Princess Livia Ashi.

Sir Bill Le Brave again visited the Kingdom today, and was quite interested when he heard the King and Princess Prith are forming the Royal Guard. He will explore this matter further with them, or Princess Livia, as he may only be available for combat training at this time, with a later commitment to the Guard itself.

The local medieval news-spreading (gossip) ring is wondering which unnamed female seems to be doing her "work" somewhat more slowly. these days, and not bouncing around with quite her usual vitality. Is it possible that she is "walking slowly" for two? The Chronicles will certainly keep all its loyal readers abreast of this story.
