DIPLOMATIC BULLETIN FROM THE KINGDOM OF NEPAL

Yesterday, an elderly man in strange robes made his way to the Landing wharf. When he had been given refreshments and allowed to rest, he revealed that he carried a message from our beloved princess Isis, who has been pursuing spiritual insights in the far-off Kingdom of Nepal.

It seems Princess Isis has been elected head monk in the ancient monastery in Nepal! As the term of office is one year, Princess Isis will unfortunately have to give up her duties in the Kingdom for that period of time. But we fully expect the Princess to return renewed, and with some ancient learning from the East that we in Kalahari may study to our own benefit.

NEAR TRAGEDY IN THE PALACE: PRINCESS TIA BITTEN BY COBRA!

Princess Tia's carefree and happy attitude almost ended in tragedy today. King Hassan was practicing his flute playing, training a live cobra in a basket. As reported by Minister Afraa al Abid, who was an eyewitness, Princess Tia came bounding into the Courtyard to greet her father, and noticing the basket, thought the basket contained a gift from her doting parents. Impulsively, she reached into the basket and was immediately bitten by the startled reptile.

Fortunately, Minister Afraa knew that the Medical Centre contained the magical "black stones," used to treat snake bite, and other poisons. Rushing to the Centre, Afraa was able to rush back, make the proper incisions, and use the black stones to leech out the poison. Though tired, the Princess is well on the road to a complete recovery.

MEDIEVAL MURMURS

The KHC social affairs reporter covered an exciting wrestling event in the Kingdom's Arena. The event, hosted by The Gardens of Abydos, drew a large and enthusiastic crowd.

The Ashi Scientific Experiment continues: slave Abu has forgotten how to read and write, and seems to be more accepting of his slavery than ever.
