THE KING ANNOUNCES A COMPETITION TO "NAME THE TAVERN"
HOW: Fill out a notecard with the name or names you are suggesting.
WHEN: Submit the card to Cindy (cinders.alex), the Tavern Servant, or Minister of Entertainment Afraa al Abid (xclox.resident) by Monday, 24 August.
WHO: Judges will be: Minister Afraa, Cindy, slave Gabi.
WHAT: The King announces a prize of L$50 AND a delicious meal in the Tavern.
CRITERIA: The name should be Arab-themed, show creativity, and reflect the gastronomic purpose of the Tavern.
FURTHER DETAILS OF PRINCESS PRITH AND THE GREAT CONQUEST OF AROHIAS

(Dastardly Plot to Poison Princess Prith Uncovered, Plotters Punished)
As is her custom, Princess Prith planned to treat the conquered people of Arohias with her customary mercy. But when her "toyboy" Prince confessed to her that members of his Royal Family had poisoned the meal being prepared for her that very night, Princess Prith had no choice but to make an example of the Royal Family.
As a consequence of their evil duplicity, the Royal Family faced the following retribution. Princess Prith hanged all the males in the Royal Family except for her "toyboy" and his younger brothers. She also executed all the females who could no longer bear children, as she believed there was no reason to keep such infertile and unproductive women.
The young Prince is now taken into the Princess' Harem, and will be trained by the elite Harem Eunuch. When the Prince reaches the standards acceptable to the Princess, he will be married to her, and Arohias legally annexed to Kalahari.
In addition, Princess Prith appointed her most trusted commanding General, Hussein al Abid, to be the Governor of the new Province of Arohias. His main focus will be to collect taxes, and generate other revenue for the benefit of Kalahari.
Once she appointed al Abid, the Princess' wheeled tent was put in motion, and she led her conquering army, along with the cavalry, to the next Kingdom to face the might of Kalahari! And if one were near to the tent as it rolled through the night, one would hear the moans of the Prince, his friends and siblings, as they are trained for their ultimate fate,
MEDIEVAL MURMURS
The Kingdom welcomed Master Max as a visitor. The well known adventurer was given a tour of the Kingdom by the King himself, where he also met our "Entertainer" Sonia Tairov..
Goddess Franchesa Deluca also made a visit from the neighboring Queendom of Abydos, and engaged in friendly word play with Dr. Adeel C. Eagor.
