THE ARRIVAL OF FORTUNE TELLER LAIA BEEBE!

Uniquely Gifted

Picture a child unlike other children, gifted, but cursed.

She makes strange pronouncements, but they come true! And she displays knowledge far beyond the abilities of someone of her tender years.

She made her family and friends, nervous, upset, and finally terrified. Common people can not understand uncommon abilities. Frightened people act irrationally, and so they sold her to a merchant slave trader.

When that happened, surprisingly she had had no fear. The Moon had "told" her that she had been given an enormous opportunity, When she'd discovered that the trader carried a fortuneteller in his caravan, and that the old woman quickly saw that the girl's special abilities, the girl's future was assured. She studied how to harness her gift of "second sight," learning to use it for her benefit, and the welfare of others.

Laia Beebe was 7 years old at the time.

The next 5 years served as the broadest of educations. The caravan traveled around the known world, and the little girl grew to be a young woman, soaking in knowledge, meeting diplomats, and slave traders, exotic women and warriors of great renown. From each she learned something, and soon, with the aid of her gift, she knew almost everything.

One day, the woman who had been her mentor and friend called her, and told her the she was about to die. That night she left the caravan, on her own for the first time in her life, but armed with the fearsome knowledge that her unique gifts had granted her.She traveled widely, searching, searching, searching for the home that she had never had, hoping to find a place she could call her own.

She used her gifts to help all people, rich and poor, nobles and slaves, men and women, in her endless quest to find peace so that she could make her gifts available to one and all. That was justice for her.

Finally she heard about a Kingdom, ruled by a King and his family, well known for his interest in creativity. She sensed that finally her quest was ended, at last she might have found a home!

The Kingdom was Kalahari, the King was Hassan Ibn Trrrol, the quest was complete. Hospitality and kindness met her, she had come home, ready to share her special gifts with all the residents of the Kingdom.

Welcome, Laia Beebe, Fortune Teller!
