King Hassan has errr grown a year older.

Together, they rule over the most prosperous and peaceful Kingdom in this part of the world. Over the next two weeks, the Chronicles will examine the Kingdom these enlightened monarchs guide, and the people who make up this marvelous land.
Kalahari prospers because of the work of many good people, but also because of the vast natural resources that enrich the Kingdom now, and for the foreseeable future.
The two major sources of income apart from the taxes the King gathers, and his rental income, are the Farm and the Mine. Both of these rely on the natural resources of Kalahari, and the the brilliant work of the Mine and Farm workers, under the supervision of Minister Magdy.
THE MINE
The Mine requires hard work to yield its precious ore, and Magdy has employed some imposing physical specimens to mine the ore. One such muscular man is the beloved Abu, the best man in Kalahari. But Abu is also a skilled craftsman, able to forge the ore into useful tools and weapons.
Yet Abu is only one of the physical marvels who toil in the Mine to enrich the coffers of the Kingdom. Stephanie Brown, known as Prison Manager, is also an extraordinary Mine worker.
At times, the Mine has been filled with workers
and sometimes, only with a solitary member.
But at all times, the gold, copper, and iron flows, and the Royal moneybags grow more full.
THE FARM
While the growth of crops, used to feed the animals and in the recipes at the Tavern and for special events in Kalahari, is a major goal of the Farm, far more goes on in this fascinating place.
Animal husbandry, overseen by the always faithful Abu, is a key component of the Farm.
And an often overlooked produce from the Farm are the textiles, which produce the beautiful cloths, carpets, and tapestries in beautiful Kalahari, as well as Garden implements,as shown here in the work of Elyssa Kalaratri.

For almost a century, the Delicious Syrup Tavern has catered to kings and queens, slaves and slave traders, merchants, soldiers, sailors, artists, dancers, musicians, storytellers, and even served the occasional pastry to a deserving minister.
