KING WELCOMES BACK HIS QUEEN WITH TEARS IN HIS EYES!

King embraces Queen as Sarah ibn Trrrol looks on

A dramatic and emotional scene played out at the Kalahari Landing today. It was the day the rascal Minghus had promised to bring the beloved Queen Dara home!

Kalahari awaits the Queen

The King had placed the Royal Herald Sarah ibn Trrrol at the very edge of the dock in order to spot the evil ship as soon as possible. Meanwhile, back on the landing, a heavily armed group of Kalaharians awaited the arrival, ready to provide any sort of military support the King required.

When Sarah signaled that the pirate ship was coming, all eyes turned toward the harbor, all hands moved toward the weapons. But the coward Minghus brought only deceit at first, by stating that he did not have the Queen, but that his Chinese cook would bring her to the Palace AFTER the King loaded the ransom goods on board.

The Royal Camels

When the wily trader saw that the King had only brought slaves Tina Wo and Dalia, not the 4 initially agreed to, he attempted to back out of the deal. He noticeably paled when he heard these words from the best man of the Kingdom, Abu, and quickly agreed to the King's offer of two prize camels added to the ransom price:

"Abu swears, Majesty, that if one hair of Our Queen's head is harmed, Abu will tear his head off and he shall eat it"

Minghus suddenly became much more reasonable, and quickly accepted the King's gracious offer of two prize camels to the generous price of Dalia and Tina Wo. The camels were loaded onto the slave ship, along with Tina Wo and Dalia only after the King received word that the Queen had been safely returned to the Palace. Minghus tried to gift the Chinese cook who brought the Queen to the Palace but the King wisely refused such a treacherous offer.

The King immediately rushed to the side of his Queen, while all Kalaharians cheered to see Minghus departing. But, at the same time, all were saddened to see Dalia and Tina Wo sail away with that international criminal, though there was a wink I noticed that the King sent to Tina, or perhaps it was my imagination?

At any rate, the King returned to the Tavern and sponsored a Kingdom-wide banquet of delicious sweet treats for all his supporters, as well as a beautiful dance performance by the radiant Willow.

The Royal Party of Celebration

The King is especially grateful for the key insults of Minghus delivered by Queen Nathalie of Romania, the deadly threat by Abu, the vigilance of Sarah ibn Trrrol, the lovely treats provided by Solondra, the erotic dancing of Willow, the manly presence of Sir Peace Furst, and especially the self sacrifice of the cam errr the respected slaves Tina Wo and Dalia.

Late News from Kalahari

The fugitive slave gretasla was brought to justice late this evening, and safely caged in the Palace Dungeon, with the King's pet alligator keeping close watch on her. As many know, she was an original part of the ransom price to be paid for the Queen's return, and when she fled, the King had to give up one of his prize camels in her place. Perhaps gretasla will be sent to ransom one of the camels. Perhaps she will provide a meal for the Royal Alligator. Or perhaps she will find a way to the King's compassionate heart.

EMERGENCY BULLETIN!

A well placed member of the Kalahari Spy Service (KSS) has reported from Egypt that the evil Minghus pledged to the pagan god Isis that he would sacrifice the lovely Slave Tina Wo to her, a report which will surely motivate the King to action.

Stay tuned!

All glory to Kalahari!

  1. Isis? That just looks like a sphnyx to me. Isis' iconography is a human female form with wings, crowned with the sun disc and cow's horns. The crown being very similar to Hathor's.

Minghus seems to just be pledging himself to a sphynx, therefore just a representation of either a guardian figure and/or pharoh as a worshipper.
