!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kalahari is under siege by a variety of people and circumstances. Injustice reigned during the blessedly short reign of Captain Minghus as Chief Justice of Kalahari.

Chief Justice Minghus

The criminal Thorgrim, released on a legal technicality, is seen abusing Kalahari slaves in far off lands. (Fortunately, his daughter, the fast talker Ehline became the first prisoner in the new Kalahari Prison managed by Stephanie Brown. More about that later.)

Is Thorgrim abusing or was he drugged?

Most horribly, the beloved Queen Dara was kidnapped by the former Chief Justice Minghus, and a ransom paid by the King to free his Queen consisted of slaves Tina Wo, gretasla, Dalia, and Renee.

Ransom Exchange for Queen Dara

The Royal Guard, under the command of Fariq James El Kalaharian, is spread thin, pursuing bandits, hostile neighbors, and smugglers, while also attempting to locate the ransom payment girls.

The King himself is emotionally battered, not just by the kidnapping of Queen Dara, but by the weight of responsibilities he bears, such as his large construction and renovation projects, and his attempts to console every attractive woman in the Kingdom.

CENSORED FOR WHINING!
Worst of all, some dice fixers, known as the "Doubles Pair," have invaded Kalahari, cheating Minister Afraa in Parcheesi with their dastardly trickery. You know who you are!

Into the chaos of the present situation stepped the wealthy Garden Manager Nilasso, who agreed to fund a military expeditionary force to seek and free slaves Dalia and Renee from the evil clutches of Minghus the Kidnapper, thereby returning to her two lost sources of income. She tapped the recently escaped Tina Wo as leader, and Tina recruited Willow, slave Roxe (once known as Lady Roxelana Chronander before she was enslaved), and Minister Afraa as a"Special Rescue Force."

These women slipped out of Kalahari in the dark of night, and proceeded to the Lair of the evil Minghus. Using a map written on an aged scroll and composed from her memory, Tina led this intrepid band directly to the Lair. From there, the warriors followed a  trail to an abandoned ship stranded on a beach.

Once they spotted the galleon, the band moved in and discovered Dalia, who had slipped away from nursing the wounded Minghus by "making friends" with" his Chief Guard Bibulus Romanticus, and turning him against his leader. In the ensuing chaos, Dalia found her way to the galleon, where she was discovered.

Immediately upon discovering Dalia, Tina inquired into the whereabouts of Renee, the last of the captives, only to discover that Renee had turned ALL of Minghus Guard against him by "making friends" with them, and in fact, had persuaded them to kidnap Minghus himself, and carry him off. Sadly, Renee had then gone missing so the rescuers had no way of finding her at that moment.

If you recognize this woman, slave Renee, contact Kalahari immediately!

Realizing that they had to move quickly, the rescuers free Dalia and had her guarded by the brave and fierce Willow while inquiries were made about a fast ship for escape.

Soon, the group way their way to the Barbary Docks, where slave Roxe, by continually complaining about her slave status, and trumpeting general grievances loudly and often, drove a hard bargain for a ship, so that the owner gave the rescuers the ship for free, if only they would "take this annoyance away from my harbor!"

the escape ship renamed the "Constant Complainer"

Quickly boarding, the rescue crew set up defensive positions, and set sail for Kalahari, knowing that if the wind failed them, Roxe was available to fill the sails with blasts of hot air. (ahahahaha)

After many adventures, the happy band reached the safety of Kalahari, where Queen Dara herself came to the Landing

and gave thanks to poor Dalia (and Tina Wo), who along with Renee and gretasla had purchased her freedom from the bandit Minghus.

LATE NEWS ABOUT SLAVE RENEE

Kalahari spies send reports that the courageous "friend to all Minghus' Guard" Renee has been seen in the Barren Desert, subsisting on locusts and wild honey. Renee fled the comforts of the Minghus Lair to seek freedom, and prays daily for rescue.

All Kalaharians pray for her safe return, especially Nilasso who wants to add to her enormous personal treasury.

FIRST CAPTIVE IN THE NEW KALAHARI PRISON

Prison Manager Stephanie Brown announces that the first prisoner has been "welcomed" to the luxurious accommodations of the new Kalahari Prison. It should surprise no one that this prisoner is the crafty criminal Ehline. This lifelong lawbreaker tried to impersonate a free person (it is well known she is a slave owned by Minister Magdy) in order to swindle an unsuspecting victim. Congratulations to the vigilant Stephanie!

All glory to Kalahari!
