After intense peace negotiations failed, King Hassan ibn Trrrol decided that he must lead his warriors against the obstinate rebels (well, OK he stayed in the back while others did the fighting in case a sexy slave girl needed some emergency medical care ahahaha), and end the rebellion which was causing so much hardship for so many in Kalahari, and even among the rebels.
The Kalahari military is powerful, but is made nearly invincible when assisted by its ally Valnor, and noble (well, perhaps "not THAT shady" is a better description) sea captains like Jack Docherty, Master of the Red Rascal. Minister of External Affairs Afraa al Abid greets the High Priestess of Valnor Tara, and her sister warrior Razia, along with Captain Jack at the Kalahari Landing.
The King gathered his forces for a rousing call to arms, and crisply assigned the various warriors to different tactical squads for the assault on the Kingbe stronghold. Minister Magdy led the archers to favorable positions, while Palace Slave Nada commanded the attack squad that would batter the Kingbe defenses and enter his palace, and Princess Nathalie remained behind to care for the wounded.
Among the Valnor warriors, who lead from the front (unlike some Kings whose names begin with H--no last names please,) was also the Mighty Justine, whose presence put fright into the few rebels who did not flee in fear.
The battle itself was something of an anticlimax. Though Roberta Honey and Monsieur Vida tried to defend the Kingbe bastion, they were soon overwhelmed, and the King's forces quickly secured the Kingbe home, and unfortunately SOME vandalism did occur. A Kingbe fireplace was trashed, and sewer buckets somehow found their way to the Kingbe bed.
But when the King received word that the children of Kingbe, Amina and Maryam had been left behind, he and Ministers Magdy and Afraa inspected the nursery and discovered that the report was true.
The King then, perhaps, foreshadowed his plan to show mercy even to the worst of the rebels in a response that warmed the hearts of even the hardened warriors surrounding him, with the full support of Minister Magdy. "The sins of the father must not be visited upon his children. Leave these children unharmed, and make sure they are well fed and clothed." The merciful monarch then turned and left the room without another word.
Outside, the triumphant forces, having secured the Kingbe Palace, gathered the prisoners, and began to plan the final phase of the campaign. The brave Roberta, the hapless slave worm, and the hirsute Skythe were bound, yet treated graciously by the conquering forces. Minister Magdy brought together the Valnor warriors Tara, Justine and Razia, as well as Captain Jack Docherty, in a war council.
During the sorting of prisoners, Monsieur Vida was heard to complain that he had been dishonored, and had been attacked by King Hassan's forces unfairly. Minister Afraa al Abid volunteered to fight the gentleman in one-on-one combat (fearing that he would be dismembered if Palace Slave Nada had been allowed to fight him,) and so the King approved the contest. The single combat was a close-run affair, both warriors were wounded simultaneously, but when they recovered and took up the fight again, the Minister defeated the Monsieur, who accepted his defeat with good grace, as the man of honor he is.
The noted neutral observer, and international slave trader Cianelle agreed that the fight had been fair, and certified the results. Monsieur Vida was freed to bring news of his crushing defeat to "King Halim" in the hope that he would come to his senses, save lives, surrender, and throw himself at the mercy of the King.
With the gracious hospitality for which he is known, King Hassan then invited his triumphant warriors to the Arena, and proposed a tournament, whose victor would receive one gold bar! This of course excited all of the proud soldiers, who joyously traveled to the Arena.
The King explained the rules of the tournament, and stated that he himself would take part as a salute to the bravery of his comrades. (There is no truth to the rumor he did not really want to give away a gold bar and thought he might win it himself!)
The contest came down to a duel between the King himself, and the brave High Priestess Tara of Valnor. The King thought that by posing with his manly body he might frighten the High Priestess, and keep the gold bar in the Palace Treasury. Though this tactic frequently works in the romantic battles the King fights, it did not work in this tournament.
Tara, however had other ideas, and she prepared herself confidently, and in the end, defeated the King, and won the gold bar, to the everlasting glory of Valnor.
Peace has now descended on Kalahari, citizens may resume their normal routines without fear, trade in various commodities may resume, and all that remains is for our valiant leader to decide his policy toward the defeated rebels.
(AND SPECIAL THANKS TO NADA SYUHADA FOR HER CREATIVE IDEAS, AND HARD WORK, THAT MADE THIS ROLE PLAY SUCH A GRAND SUCCESS. EVEN IF THE KING HAD TO PAY OUT A GOLD BAR! AHAHAHA!)
