GYPSY SLAVE CHIPPI EXPOSED AS A THIEF!
GODDESS KATE WESTIN INFORMS THE KING OF STOLEN TREASURE!
KING HASSAN SHOWS MERCY, DOES NOT CHOP OFF THIEF'S HAND!
DECEIVER HUNG FROM THE PUNISHMENT TREE!
The Gypsy Chippi brought shame to the Kingdom, and the Palace itself today.
Goddess Kate Westin appeared in the Kingdom, and requested to see the King, and the slave Chippi. Our monarch welcomed the distinguished visitor with his customary gracious hospitality, and while Minister Afraa hosted tea for the King and the Goddess, slave dara went to bring the leashed Chippi to the Ministry building.
Goddess Kate then came out with the shocking news: slave Chippi had stolen some treasure from her Mistress, and fled to the Kingdom with forged documents! Four pairs of accusatory eyes (King's, Goddess', Minister's, dara's) looked at the slave who came up with numerous explanations, and then broke down and admitted the theft, and returned a large gold coin, which was most, but not all, of the treasure stolen.
The King contained his fury at these revelations, and after conferring with Minister Afraa, and restoring the coin, with some additional coinage, to the Goddess, decreed that the Gypsy thief be hung from the punishment tree, and that all citizens (though not slaves) are to spit upon her to humiliate her, and teach her never to steal again.
The Queen arrived, and added her voice of disappointment to the chorus of disapproval. All agreed that Chippi must now be kept under close supervision, a burden which will fall mainly on Palace Slave dara.

The King and Queen visited the Ministry building to inform Minister Afraa about the possibilities for the jubilant celebration planned to welcome Queen Vi back to the Kingdom, and the general outline was put in place.

Many in Kalahari are already engaged in excited conversation about the upcoming party.. Here we see the King, Lady Louise, Minister Afraa, and slaves dara and Abu discussing the events while enjoying the usual tasty treats from the Delicious Syrup Tavern.
The King has also announced that a new slave, named Saran, will be assigned to the Mine to help Slave Abu. The Chronicles reports this happy news, as slave Abu has been such a stalwart in keeping the Mine and Farm going, under the supervision of Minister Magdy.
