TWO EQUALLY MATCHED WARRIORS, ONE VICTOR!

A large crowd of bloodthirsty errr I mean supportive Kalaharians gathered on the field in front of the Palace to view the valiant King Hassan, the Lion of the Desert, personally testing the valor and warrior skills of Captain Cynthia, to determine if she is worthy of the rank of Colonel in the Kalahari armed forces.

Each of the warriors seemed imposing in appearance: the King stripped down for speed,

while Cynthia went with a more heavily armored look.

Imposing Warrior Cynthia

At first, however, the large crowd thought they were watching the Rabbit of the Desert, as the King's strategy seemed to be to run around the field of battle in a similar fashion to how he lurches around the dance floor. Surprisingly, the strategy worked in the first round, as the nimble King leapt forward unexpectedly and scored a take down.

Cynthia did not become a Captain without learning from her experience. As the aged King grew weary running around the field like one of Ehline's herb buyers, Cynthia caught him with a sudden series of blows and won the second round.

The deciding round began with the Lion's Roar, a loud shout the King uses to frighten his opponents. Cynthia is made of strong stuff, and realized that once the King had expended a large amount of hot air, he would be tired, and easy prey. And so it proved--as the King stumbled around on his aged legs, Cynthia circled for the kill, then struck! Mercifully, she did not cut off any of the King's important appendages, so the grateful King, though disappointed, congratulated the victor, and confirmed her rank of Colonel.

In fact, the King was so pleased with the spectacle, he offered to pay for a celebratory party at the Tavern. This generous gesture almost turned into a tragedy, for when the King opened his purse to pay for the celebration, a swarm of bats and moths that had been trapped in the purse since the King had last opened it in 1527, surged out and attacked the guests.

When that situation was dealt with, the real party began.

Of course the King could not resist humiliating former Minister Afraa, now slave of Shamsia Abbas, by ordering her to dance for his guests. None of those guests complained, though Tina Wo smirked too much for her own good. Tina is up for auction on 7 February, and all her former victims are encouraged to bid.
(Are you listening, Sheik Franco?)

As the party broke up, the King decided to visit his niece Princess Nathalie, and her daughter Sarah.

Beautiful Child Princess Sarah

One doesn't need a guidepost to connect the King's visit to some Royal Matchmaking between the charming Sarah, and the young warrior just born: Farid Hassan.

Fortunately, as Abla and Afraa can attest, Princess Nathalie keeps a close eye on her daughter, and any future husband will have to meet a very high standard, which definitely means the young man must be a great Warrior!

And above all, the Kingdom waits to see: will the King allow Ehline to make corrupt profits which he can share, or will he order her to be auctioned? And all realize, the King gains wealth either way. ahahahahaha
