Richest Auction in History of Kalahari

History was made last week when the richest auction in Kalahari's history
took place at the Carfield Auction House.

Auctioneer Tina Wo could not have foreseen such a record sale when first she banged the gavel to open the auction. As she looked out at the audience, she only saw the usual furtive males, covered in cloaks, obviously expecting that their bids would take the prize slave on auction, Sonia Tairov.

As usual, the women were the open ones, beautifully clothed, lovely to look at, but not treated seriously as contenders for the shapely slave.

The expectant crowd as the auction begins

One illustrious visitor, Leonarda of Vinci did make his appearance, giving rise to rumors that he had promised to paint the slave Sonia on the ceiling of the King's Palace Throne Room, but we are unable to confirm that rumor at this time.

Though the bidding began slowly, with a few cautious bids from some males, the true drama began when two formidable females, Queen Nathalie of Romania, and Shamsia Abbas of some hidden origins, faced off.

As the men shrunk back in fear before the power of these two women, the formidable adversaries locked eyes, and opened purses, each refusing to give an inch, as the bidding went to L$1,000, then L$2,000, then began to exceed anything seen in the Kingdom since Emir Hussein ate 43 pastries in one sitting, all the while seducing the wife of the Sultan of Zanzibar.

L$4,000, L$5,000 then L$6,000 was finally bid and won by Shamsia Abbas. With true nobility, Queen Nathalie smiled, and dismissed the loss, which gives promise that the next time there is bidding, Nathalie will NOT be denied.

Tina handed off the frightened but proud Sonia to the inscrutable Shamsia. Who knows to what purposes Shamsia will put her newly purchased slave?

Minister Afraa al Abid inspects Grace of Kuwar

Meanwhile Minister Afraa ferreted out the visitor Grace of Kuwar. Knowing that tattered Kingdom is almost defunct, the Minister made special note of this visitor, to insure that the greed, betrayal, and militaristic goals of that unhappy land would not darken the shores of peaceful Kalahari.

All glory to Kalahari
and peace and beauty as well!
