MISTRIAL OF THE YEAR IN KALAHARI!

SAILMASTER THORGRIM FOUND NOT GUILTY!

JUDGE MINGHUS SPECIALLY APPOINTED BY KING!

CONTROVERSIAL RULING ENRAGES WOMEN!

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TRIAL OF SAILMASTER THORGRIM:
Attendees:

King Hassan ibn Trrol, Captain Minghus (Judge), Minister Afraa al Abid (Prosecutor),  Garden Manager Nilasso (Defense Attorney),
Queen Nathalie of Romania, Ambassador Yasemin von Engelhardt, Prison Manager Stephanie Brown, Lady Samaira Valentina, Shady Character Ehline, Sir Jason, Bath House Manager Diana Geesink, Assistant Tavern Manager Solondra, Garden Girls BUBBLES, Willow, Tasha Weston, Renee, Viktori, Sanik's Woman Karima, and  Sailmaster Thorgrim (defendant).

Judge Minghus and Prosecutor Afraa al Abid

An agitated crowd had already gathered at the Kalahari Justice Centre by the time Prison Manager Stephanie Brown escorted her prisoner, Sailmaster Thorgrim, to that building. The international slave trader and suspected criminal had long plied his trade in the twilight world of questionable legality, and he was to stand trial before his corrupt, and equally infamous, business partner Captain Minghus, recently linked with the suspicious disappearance of the well known Kalaharian Lady Tina Wo.

The charge was the invasion of the home of Lady Malika, and the scandalous caging of that beautiful citizen, an attempted kidnap thwarted by the brave warrior Queen, Nathalie of Romania.

THE TRIAL

The talented prosecutor, the lovely (blah, blah, blah--you have read of her brilliance numerous times before, as stated by herself ahahaha) Minister Afraa al Abid confidently began to lay out her case to the assembled multitude, confident that even Judge Minghus and his Royal supporter would be forced to admit the guilt of Thorgrim.

Prosecutor Afraa al Abid: Let me state the facts of this case and
present evidence and TRUST there will be respect and fairness.

Lady Malika, a revered citizen of Kalahari,
married to the insanely jealous Sir Halim,
was sitting peacefully in her home when this man (gestures at Thorgrim)
broke into her home, assaulted her, and CAGED HER!

(displays the graphic evidence to the Judge and Court spectators.)

Lady Malika caged!

Who knows what fate would have befallen the honorable Malika, but that the valiant Queen Nathalie of Romania, an expert archer,
saved her from the clutches of evil.

(shares the graphic evidence)

Queen Nathalie capturing the fleeing Thorgrim

Fortunately, the outrage was stopped and criminal Thorgrim put into custody.
in the Kalahari Prison he was treated far better than he deserved, and now stands trial. Such are the facts. the only conclusion can be GUILTY!

That is my opening statement Judge.
Now Lady Nilasso can plead him guilty :-)

Lady Nilasso, Defence Attorney, addresses the Court

Defence Attorney Nilasso: I have not really had time to prepare, I’m assigned here for my friend Ehline and for the justice in this Kingdom,
but I have some comments.

First of all, the 2 graphics prove nothing:
we don't see Thorgrim kidnapping Malika.
I'm sure that Malika is very good but who know who put her there?

Second, concerning Malika in a cage, I doubt Thorgrim placed her there.
Malika is a very cute woman and all people know the...taste of Thorgrim.
He will probably not let her in a cage with her clothes on.

Third, the last picture shows Nathalie aiming at Thorgrim with a bow, but he is not close to Malika, so who knows when this picture was taken
as Malika is not there?

And we can't judge someone guilty without a very great evidence,
not just what we think or prefer, but proofs. It's the reputation of justice in this Kingdom. Better to free a guilty than punish an innocent. Without very important proofs, people can't be guilty.
I know, some of my friends dislike what I say
but justice is here to protect everyone, even people that we dislike.

Judge Minghus: Now I ask you: What would be the motive for Thorgrim to put the little woman in a comfortable cage?

Willow: Lust!

Willow shouts out as King dozes peacefully.

Afraa al Abid: MONEY AND POWER, Judge, his motive for everything. I would have statement of "proofs" from Commander James and Queen Nathalie BUT Queen Nathalie had to settle a revolt in Romania
and King Hassan sent Commander James to Damascus
to escort a well-known prostitute back to Kalahari!

Nilasso: In short, Afraa, you have no witness, just gossip.

Afraa al Abid: So I am sure they will present proper evidence and i move that Thorgrim return to the excellent care he receives in Kalahari Prison
from Prison Manager Stephanie Brown.

Minghus: Good, no witnesses, and about the motive ... Nilasso, we hear about the motive, that there is a wish from Thorgrim to show his power.
But what has the defence so say about
Thorgrim’s son Dogan, and his need of care?

Nilasso: Thorgrim is not an angel, but he is not stupid: caged an important woman of Kalahari..in Kalahari... a strange idea when he can obtain slaves from all around the world. By the way, it's a bit strange that someone can kidnap Malika in her house:  she has staff, she has a tiger to defend her, maybe she just needed a bit of fantasy :)

Samaira speaks out as horrified Courtroom observers look on

Minghus: Stephanie, next time Samaira interrupts the court, then put her in prison! … or in my boat. Prosecutor Afraa, we have now no witnesses and no motive for putting the Malika woman in a cage.
DO you have final words to say?

Afraa al Abid: i am finished presenting my case--
he is evidently guilty but i see what is happening here

Minghus: hides a grin and bows for the prosecutor.

Hassan Ibn Trrrol: starts to feel comfortable about
the outcome of the fair and respectful trial

Minghus: Thorgrim, it is always hard to see a good man in a place like this. We have heard the accusations of kidnapping and caging by Thorgrim and a picture of a fully dressed woman who might be Malika. There are no clear motives, there are no witnesses and the journal has been silent, which is maybe the clearest evidence that there is nothing to come for. As judge of this trial, there is only one possible decision.

Thorgrim is innocent of all accusations.

Judge Minghus declares the criminal Thorgrim innocent!

Judge Minghus stuns the Courtroom

And Thorgrim should have a compensation for being imprisoned. All costs will be paid by Minister Afraa and the Kingdom. Thorgrim, you are free to go.

Afraa al Abid: Fat chance you will get money from me!

King Hassan Ibn Trrrol: Dear Judge Minghus. Thank you for your patient and wise judgement. I will support my Minister in paying the cost.

Thorgrim: Drinks are on me, citizens.

Minghus: People of Kalahari, let us all be happy and
celebrate the court’s decision.

Hassan Ibn Trrrol: let’s go to the Tavern. and celebrate Justice.

And so the manipulative monarch,
accompanied by his co-conspirator Minghus, the criminal Thorgrim
and innocent women forced to accompany them, repaired to the Tavern,

by displaying his latest dance moves,

Further inquiries by the crack investigative team of the Chronicles has revealed dastardly treachery by the evil Thorgrim,
and his devious daughter Ehline.
On his travels, Sailmaster Thorgrim had obtained a special herb from the highest mountains of the Kingdom of the East.
This strange plant renders its victims helpless to any suggestions,
while leaving their intellectual capacities at their highest level.

Ehline evidently put this herb in Lady Nilasso's tea, and so her renowned intelligence was unaffected, but her moral standards were compromised enough that she cleverly pointed out the flaws in Afraa's case, while defending such a morally repulsive creature.

Ambassador Yasemin von Engelhardt will return to Topkapi for consultations with Sultan Suleiman about the questionable practices
in the Kalahari Justice System.

And in a perhaps not unrelated action, Minister Afraa's devoted slave Dalia has disappeared, and was last seen talking to the treacherous Minghus!

And finally, the King took advantage of lovely Tasha Weston
as a victory prize awarded to himself by himself.

All glory to Kalahari!

  1. ACCIDENTALLY DELETED FROM AILEEN

Thorgrim does not have a son named Dogan. His slave Roxelana was raped by the judge in this trial over nine months ago, and fathered the boy named Andris Dogan. It it thus quite ironic that he would refer to the baby as Thorgrim's.

Also, this was a great injustice. Thorgrim is as guilty as sin.
