NEW KAHYA NAMED: SLAVE JULIE BRIGHT!
KING MAKES ANNOUNCEMENT TO ASSEMBLED KALAHARIANS WHO REACT WITH GREAT ENTHUSIASM!
The King surprised a holiday crowd at the Garden seashore with his announcement that, after a long period of Royal celibacy, (and what other kind could there be? ahahaha) he had decided to take another Queen, as it seems Queen Vi has been lost on her journey.
Ehline, Stephanie Brown, Samaira, Afraa, Nilasso, Princess Nathalie, and slaves Roxe, TinaWo and Dalia listened with rapt attention as the King laid out his reasoning, and then announced that he had chosen Kahya dara for the important post of Queen of Kalahari.
No details were mentioned by the King but we all expect the period of Royal celibacy to be ended sooner, rather than later.
Since the post of Kahya (Director of the Harem) was made vacant by dara's invitation to the Queenship, the King announced long-time Kalahari slave, and talented G&S producer, julie bright would become the new Kahya.

MEDIEVAL MURMURS
All the enormous doings in Kalahari do not mean that many productive activities are not proceeding in Kalahari.
Lady Nilasso continues with the complete renovation of the Garden of 1001 Pleasures.
Anette CapriHorn, Stephanie Brown and Abu, under the leadership of Minister Magdy, are bringing all the latest 16th Century innovations to the Market, Farm, Mine, and Tavern.
New resident Monnie hosted a tea party for Princess Nathalie and Minister Afraa, at which Anette performed a lovely dance.
Monnie also had some commercial dealings with the mysterious Sir Frank, but if their deals result in more tax revenue, the King will gladly accept them as a wedding gift.
Anette and Afraa greeted Emilia, a first time Kalahari visitor, and took her to the Temple Oracle, where she received excellent advice.
And the Royal romance is not the only one floating through the air of the Kingdom. The well known slaver Sailmaster Thorgrim (remember him Slave Roxe?) visited Kalahari, and seemed quite taken with Lady Samaira. The important question is: was she taken with HIM? ahahaha
And the lovely Fatima adds an even more romantic picture to the Kalahari landscape.
Finally, we are able to tell the tale of slaves Dalia and TinaWo, who selflessly consulted with King Hassan about possible furnishings for the Palace, and after such generous service, took some well deserved rest.
